The purpose of the Association is to promote the profession of the fire service, to improve the methods of fire prevention, training, protection, and extinguishment and to maintain high standards of professional ethics among the Fire Service Officers of Louisiana.

39th Annual Conference was held in Covington host by Chief Merrick Tassin. Highest attendance at a conference for the association and great presentations including one from Chief Alan Brunacini. Officers for 2012-2013 were installed.
Members of the Fire Chiefs Association along with other Fire Service Repesentatives from Louisiana will be traveling to Washington D.C. to visit with our Senators and Representatives while attending the Congressional Fire Services Institution meeting this week.
Membership Information:
• Active Members - All chief officers are eligible to join. Active Members shall be entitled to hold elective office, serve on the board of directors and vote on all matters requiring a vote of the general membership.
• Associate Members - Shall include those fire department officers not eligible for Active Member status.
